A node gives local merchants a place to freely trade — with their customers, with each other and with the rest of the world — while connecting them to the wider Hansa⚡Bolt network.

Bitcoin and Lightning provide open peer-to-peer payment routes across the network, and the world. Hansa⚡Bolt node operators can cooperate to keep channels open and maintain liquidity between nodes — helping keep payments flowing and trade moving between local hubs.
This enables direct, near-instant settlement across borders without Hansa⚡Bolt taking a transaction fee.
A merchant on Gotland can trade with a merchant in Riga. A customer in Tallinn can buy from a merchant on Gotland. Payment can move directly between them, while each merchant remains part of their own independently operated local hub.
